Riverhounds edge Antigua in USL Pro opener

Byers denied by Gilstrap and the post in loss
The Pittsburgh Riverhounds picked up a road victory, 1-0, at Antigua’s Sir Vivian Richards Stadium on Opening Night for USL Pro on Friday.

Goalkeeper Hunter Gilstrap was key in the victory, stopping a Peter Byers penalty kick for the Barracudas in the 35th minute when Sterling Flunder handled the ball.

Four minutes before the break, the Riverhounds capitalized on a corner when Mike Seth put it past goalkeeper Molvin James for what stood as the winner.

Byers was denied again just before the break with a hard shot ringing off the post.
