LD Update: NASL & USL Pro Game Night

The final 40 minutes proved eventful in both contests tonight, wrapping up with one fewer winless club following a big victory by FC Edmonton at home, leaving MLS' Toronto FC (0-8-0); the NASL's Atlanta Silverbacks (0-1-4) and Carolina RailHawks (0-3-4); and USL Pro's Dayton Dutch Lions (0-2-2) as the last four pro league clubs without a win.

FC Edmonton 3:0 Carolina RailHawks - In the showdown between two winless teams, the visiting RailHawks were unable to find the offense that helped them earn ties in four previous contests. The match was a stalemate until the 54th minute when Shaun Saiko hit a long-range effort to open the scoring. He doubled the lead a few minutes later with a curler and completed a hat-trick with nine minutes left to cap the evening. - More

LA Blues 2:2 Wilmington Hammerheads - After watching the hosts rally for a 2-1 victory Friday evening, it had to be an agonizing replay Sunday as they watched the Blues reply after two go-ahead goals yet again. Second half sub Hakop Avesyan opened the scoring in the 66th only to see Irving Garcia level terms two minutes later. Avesyan, a former local standout with Ventura County Fusion, grabbed the lead again for Wilmington in the 75th, but Cheunyong Park tied the contest up in the 84th. - More
