LD Update: NASL & USL Pro Game Night

The San Antonio Scorpions were the only home club to win in the NASL for the week, tallying their fourth consecutive victory to extend their unbeaten run to five.

In USL, the Harrisburg City Islanders ended the run of 11 winless games for home clubs with a big victory over winless Dayton, but more importantly ended their own string of four winless games (0-1-3). Wilmington Hammerheads, meanwhile, still were not able to win at home, earning just a draw on the night.

Atlanta Silverbacks 2:3 Tampa Bay Rowdies - Dan Antoniuks scored twice in the first half, 12 and 37th minutes, to give the visitors the lead, but it was not an easy route to the win. USL PRO

Harrisburg City Islanders 4:0 Dayton Dutch Lions - The night belonged to Yann Ekra, who finished with three goals. He volleyed a fantastic effort 14 minutes into the lead and doubled it two minutes later when he snared a poor pass and beat Matt Williams. Dayton had no luck, even a penalty following Gerrit Jan Bartels being brought down went for naught as Nick Noble made a diving save on Bartels attempt. Sainey Touray made the advantage three when he connected with Morgan Langley three minutes before halftime, and added a second assist in the 56th when he helped Ekra finish the hat-trick. - MORE

Wilmington Hammerheads 1:1 Charlotte Eagles - In the showdown of state rivals, the Hammerheads had the first opportunity for the lead with a penalty from a handball at the half-hour mark only to see Andriy Budnyy's attempt stopped by Eric Reed. Darryl Roberts broke the deadlock in the second half with a perfect shot from the top of the box in the 57th. A low cross from Mark Briggs found Hagop Chirishian in the 76th for the equalizer. - MORE
