LD Update: Weekly honors; Player additions

US Open Cup: On the first night of the tournament's Third Round Tuesday seven lower division clubs registered upsets over Major League Soccer opposition, including the Carolina RailHawks (NASL) and Dayton Dutch Lions (USL Pro), who both remain winless in league play. W-League News: Hamilton FC goalkeeper Genevieve Martin was named the Player of the Week in the league's Team of the Week announcement.

NPSL News: The league honored Erie Admirals striker Shane Howard as the Player of the Week... The University of Akron duo of Thomas Schmitt and Andrian McAdams have joined AFC Cleveland for the season.
