LD Update: NASL & USL Pro Game Night; W-League & NPSL semi results

The NASL's lone match of the night had enough goals for an entire weekend's slate of games in the league as Fort Lauderdale won a thriller with Atlanta.

In USL Pro Friday night, all four home sides were victorious, three with shutouts. While Charlotte picked up another win, their sixth in a row, to continue their climb, the big news on the night was Orlando City clinching the regular season title and the accompanying home field advantage in the postseason.

Fort Lauderdale Strikers 5:3 Atlanta Silverbacks - The Strikers got things off to a good start at home with Mark Anderson connecting with Paulo Araujo Jr in the 5th minute and scoring himself in the 28th. Pedro Mendes struck back two minutes later for Atlanta and Matt Horth made it an even contest at the break with an equalizer in the 41st. Aly Hassan then scored two back-to-back 13 minutes apart with Walter Restrepo getting his second assist on the night for the first in the 54th. Paulo Mendes made it a one-goal against once again in the 76th, but Restrepo would clinch it in stoppage time on a counter. - MORE

Antigua picked up the first goal of the second half through Tamorley Thomas in the 55th, but Kassel responded with his second in the 75th. Orlando City 4:0 Charleston Battery - An own goal on a Kevin Molino strike that deflected off a Battery defender in the 17th minute was all the defending champions needed as they rolled to an easy win. Four minutes later Matt Luzunaris headed in a cross from George Davis, extending his scoring streak to five games. Both sides lost a player in the second hald with the Battery losing a second to a second yellow in the 66th, leaving them a man down with nine. Dennis Chin added two more strikes in the 77th and 85th for a season-best club record of 10. - MORE

Rochester Rhinos 1:0 LA Blues - The match was decided by an own goal on the hour mark. Defender Matheau Hall attempted to head an incoming Tam McManus flick off a free kick back to the keeper while being pressured by Quavas Kirk, but put too much on it and sailed it past his netminder. - MORE
